As COVID-19 Cases Spike Deaths Remain Much Lower Than Peak

In the last week, Wisconsin has seen 6,120 new COVID-19 cases. In all of July, Wisconsin has seen 16,188 new positive tests. With more than a week left in the month, Wisconsin has already shattered is record for total number of positive cases in a month by roughly 5,000 new cases – May saw 11,549 new cases. For comparison, the state is averaging 736 new cases per day so far in July. In June, the per day average was 342 and in May it was 373.
