Testifying before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security yesterday, Governor Pritzker called on the federal government to require face coverings for individuals in public and to devise a better national strategy centered around testing and contact tracing to try to contain the spread of COVID-19. The Governor also asked for more help from the federal government to make up for revenue losses during the pandemic, for clarity on insurance coverage for COVID-19 testing, and for continued National Guard help at federal testing sites.
