MWFPA makes annual grants to universities to support research affecting the industry on crops, processing methods and waste disposal.  Our industry has long worked with the Universities of Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin on a variety of projects, with $60,000 of industry support for research having been funded in 2023.  Research topics are identified by the Association’s Raw Products Committee and project applications considered and approved by the Voters group of the Raw Products Committee, comprised of participating vegetable processor and seed companies.
