The Student Career Fair returns to MWFPA’s 115th Annual Convention and Trade Show. it will be held December 4th from 10:30 am to Noon during the annual convention at the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.
At last year’s convention, students interested in learning about employment opportunities at our member companies were invited to meet in an informal setting with company representatives. It being the first year such an opportunity was offered, and the it being the time of year when students are busy with classes and preparing for final exams, a limited number of participants attended. Still, two qualified students ended up with internships with one of our member companies.
This year a concerted effort has been made to work with the Renk Agribusiness Institute, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and its related collegiate arm, the Future Farmers of America, the University of Wisconsin System, and Wisconsin Technical College System to promote the event. MWFPA received enthusiastic responses and commitments from these parties.
Thanks to Bonduelle USA, Chippewa Valley Bean, Del Monte Foods, Lakeside Foods, Lyco Manufacturing and Seneca for committing to participate in this year’s fair.
