MN’s Mahoney Will Not Seek Reelection

MN State Rep. Tim Mahoney (DFL-St. Paul) has announced he will retire at the end of his current term.

First elected in 1998, Mahoney, a retired pipefitter, served on many jobs-related committees throughout his tenure, including as the current chair of the House Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division. He sponsored the wage-theft law that took effect earlier this year.

Mahoney also now serves on the House Commerce Committee and divisions focused on energy and climate change and another focusing on Greater Minnesota jobs. Previous committees on which he served include those related to agriculture, capital investment, higher education and taxes.
