USMCA Would Give Illinois A Lift

Crain’s Chicago Business says that lawmakers in Washington, D.C., have a real opportunity to transform North American trade by passing the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and give Illinois businesses a lift.

This new agreement, which will soon be before Congress, would modernize and strengthen free trade with our biggest export markets, Canada and Mexico, and help businesses in Illinois and across the U.S. sell more of our goods.

Manufacturers in Illinois and across the country are driven by open and fair trade. In fact, data from the National Association of Manufacturers shows that Illinois manufacturers export $61 billion worth of goods to nations around the globe-with $27 billion worth sold to Canada and Mexico.  Read more.
